“Once you've met someone, you never really forget them. It just takes a while for your memories to return.”
i am older and i see things differently
even though this has a bit of a light leak, i consider this among my most beloved photographs. taken in the early morning, there was such a sense of peaceful familia.
is this a dream
cant remember what lens this was taken on, but it's as if its a snapshot from a dream. slightly blurry and out of focus but imaginative.
im proud of you
most of the photos here don't include faces. mostly because i don't want me taking a photo to be an intrusion. i try to observe unseen. however, this photograph was an effort to be more bold to capture the photos i see in life.
silence and solitude
a solemn afternoon and a light drizzle of rain. the bag, the umbrella, the sweater. all monochromatic in the best way.
hold me close and hold me tight
on the banks of ireland, it's another painting of a photograph. everything about this photo gives a warmth and an endearment.
all aboard
a window into perhaps yet another story that captures my imagination. black and white indeed does have this timeless affect.
is this ghibli
incredibly simplistic yet believe this is most likely the influence of Miyazaki in my own photography.
a call from your son
in the later hours of the evening, a man paces back and forth in his study while having what i could only make out as a call to his son.
the memories you'll cherish and they'll forget
this scene really moved me as a mother would push her young child down the sloping hill and then drag both sled and child back up quite painstakingly. i wonder if the child will even remember how much love their mother gave that day.
on the edge of their book
peacefully reading her book on a calm saturday afternoon on the edge of the c & o canal.
breaking! nothing new
capturing people reading the newspaper has become a regular theme for me. i enjoy the nuance of the encounter.
familiar things
back to reality from stranger things and kids can be kids and not have to fight underworld demons and government inhumane lab atrocities.
strapping snow shoes
there is something this man, who is walking his dogs on a snowy mountain trail, has figured out about life that we haven't figured out.
the pandemic traveler
'i really wish i weren't living through a major historical event right now.' quite horrid all the ailments, both physical and intellectual, that have come along with a pandemic.
he has the high ground
i don't know much about the origin or background of this episode. almost missed spotting this but found the entire composition enticing.
